The BAADER 160 is a classic, highly specialized industrial fish processing machine primarily used for heading, gutting, and eviscerating whitefish.
Built with the heavy-duty mechanical engineering Baader is famous for, it is designed to clean and prep smaller to medium-sized fish efficiently, handling both bled and unbled raw materials.
Core Applications & Working Range
The machine is optimized for specific types of whitefish, most notably Cod, Haddock, and Saithe.
- Fish Size Range: Typically handles fish measuring between 35 cm and 70 cm in total length.
- Weight Range: Best suited for fish weighing roughly 0.5 kg to 2.0 kg.
How the Process Works
The BAADER 160 operates through a sequence of mechanical steps to ensure maximum yield while keeping the fish structurally intact:
- Centering: The fish is loaded into the machine and instantly aligned via specialized centering clamps.
- Heading: It executes a clean, straight heading cut. Crucially, the machine removes the collar bones alongside the head but leaves the valuable neck meat intact on the trunk of the fish.
- Gutting & Evisceration: A combined mechanical tool slits the belly open and cleanly removes the guts and internal organs, prepping the fish perfectly for downstream processing (like a filleting or skinning machine).
